Community Involvement

Providing outstanding service is priority number one for the Pro/Craft team. Over the years, Pro/Craft has been extremely happy to be able to provide our services to a variety of organizations in the communities we serve. Unfortunately, not-for-profit organizations often don’t have the budgets to get badly needed projects completed. Pro/Craft has always made every effort to provide not only manpower and materials for these worthwhile projects, but our expertise and if needed, our industry contacts. In addition to helping organizations, the Pro/Craft team has stepped forward to help needy individuals, such as the elderly, get things done they might not otherwise be able to do. The following are a few examples of the project we have had the pleasure to be associated with.

Pro/Craft was happy to step in and help a local non profit organization with some assistance. The Alternative Behavior Treatment Center in Mundelein was in desperate need of paint and repairs. ABTC helps troubled youths with counseling, treatment, and education. The juvenile residents had lived with dreary walls for long enough. An entire team of professional painters along with materials and equipment were sent to the facility. The Pro/Craft painters, along with volunteers from the GLMV, spent an entire day making the ABTC facility look fantastic. The residents couldn't believe how great the place looked once the volunteers were done.

Lake County Haven Image

The Lake County Haven is a shelter that provides a secure living residence for women and their children. This great organization not only provides the shelter, but offers support, job assistance, transportation, and food for these women and children in need. Pro/Craft, along with the GLMV Chamber, pulled together to give the Haven a fresh look for the women and children who stay there. A team of painters arrived to help other volunteers make the place look great. Our work there was done in one day, but the smiles on their faces will last a lifetime!

Equestrian Connection Image

The Equestrian Connection is a non-profit organization that helps physically challenged children ride horses for therapy. Their facility in Lake Forest had a very poor entry for kids using walkers or wheelchairs. Pro/Craft was asked to build a new entry ramp to help these youngsters. Our team built a new ramp and even added a special drop off platform designed for vans with side loading wheelchair ramps. The kids and their parents love it and we were glad to help such a great organization.

Ronald McDonald House exists to provide a variety of residential and non-residential services to support the needs of families whose children have a serious illness or require medical treatment, a "home-away-from-home."
Pro/Craft joined forces with other contractors to completely paint the guest rooms of the Ronald McDonald house in Chicago. Pro/Craft sent crews down to this facility, located near Children’s Memorial Hospital, to help repair and paint. The teams were able to turn dreary guest rooms into bright, comfortable places for families to stay while being treated at the hospital.

“We're always happy to help. It's just sometimes hard to choose who and when, with so many great organizations out there."
